John Waters refused to marry 19-year-old Winona Ryder to Johnny Depp because he thought she was too young, he reveals in his new memoir Mr Know-It-All: the Tarnished Wisdom of a Filth Elder. The director had just finished filming 27-year-old Depp in the 1990 movie Cry-Baby and the actor wanted him ordained as a minister to marry Ryder, 19, who was eight years younger than him.
